YAMSION RANGEMORE LANDCARE GROUP is a sub-group of NED Landcare based around Yamsion in the foothills of the Bunya Mountains.

Its members are primarily  cattle producers with the majority of country in the area largely suited to grazing  beef or dairy cattle.

It’s main focus has been on woody weeds, mainly : lantana , mother of millions and boxthorn.  There has also been a lot of work done in regards to soil conservation to limit the effects of  grazing pressure. Works done have included;  fencing off waterways and creeks, relocating watering points and planting improved pastures in old cultivation.

We have also had some days to look at locally planted leucaena and are impressed with it’s development in this area.

New members are always welcome and we meet regularly at the Yamsion Hall.
