Oakey Urban Landcare Group. 

The Greening Oakey Committee formed in 1995, and developed a plan for improved natural resource management and town beatification

Following the establishment of NED Landcare the Greening Oakey Committee formally became the Oakey Urban Landcare Group. The group concentrates activities in the urban area of Oakey and in particular the riparian zone of Oakey Creek which flow through the town. The group is focused on native flora and fauna conservation, pest plants and animals in an urban environment, and community education and awareness.

Oakey Urban Landcare meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the CWA rooms 4 Cherry Street Oakey.
